Fujita Kitchen and Goat Handover to Mahendra National Basic School by Kondo Foundation




Lawanday; Sankhu. On 22nd December 2019, 

The Kondo Foundation tendered Fujita kitchen as well as 10 goats to the parents of students who study at Mahendra National Basic School, Choukibhanjyang, for their first portion. At that program, the main chief guest was Prof. Mr. Atsuo Kotaki. He declared that he had been very delighted to help the school, also further specified that the income raised from the given goats will be proving small financial aid to the snacks program for the student along with the approval of the parents. My friend Mr. Susumu Fujita who sponsored the kitchen, can’t attend this ceremony due to his personal problem.
Although I remember his great support to this snacks program and humbly thanks to him. About 80 students currently studying at the school have been participating in the snacks Program.



Mr.Ishwari Prasad dangal ,the principal of the school believed that if this program keeps moving forward then more than 100 students could be enrolled in the school next year. Addressing the program, social activist Shankar Prasad Tiwari exclaimed on his thanks giving speech that Pro. Mr. kotaki came all the way from his country Japan and raised his hand to help and support our local school ,Thank you Mr. Kotaki. He also claimed that the snacks program will create a special environment to study for our students. He was very grateful to attend such a program. 


At the end of the program, Mr. Ratna Bahadur Lama, chairperson of the School Management Committee, stated that the small children who come to the school from an hour or more walking distance,this snacks program will eliminate the situation of not attending the school due to hunger. In addition to that he also affirmed that due to the handover of the goats, the economic and financial status of all parents will increase which will help the students for their stationaries and much needed study material. 


The program was attended by parents of the students, social activist Satyaman Lama, Kondo Foundation President; Apar Khadka Karki, Treasurer; Keshav Rimal Upadhyay, Active Member; Naresh Khadka, Pro. Mr. Atsuo Kotaki's colleague Aman Maharjan, Kavita Gurung, Kamala Pal and many other respected local people. Remembrance, the Kondo Foundation has been continuously supporting the school from the past two years to establish The Kondo Library and now successfully establish the Fujita Kitchen with all necessary kitchen utensils. The foundation is designated with the memory of a Japanese social worker, late Toru Kondo. Lawandya reporter December 22, 2019.
